Jennifer Grayson

Environmental journalist and green living expert Jennifer Grayson is founding editor of The Red, White, and Green. Inspired by working on the Obama campaign, she launched this site to advance the conversation about the ties between environmentalism and patriotism. As green advice columnist for The Huffington Post (Eco Etiquette), she offers up everyday green living tips as well as explores matters of environmental ethics and policy.

After attending The University of Pennsylvania, Jennifer became an operatically trained singer, receiving a degree from Boston’s renowned New England Conservatory of Music. Now, she’s lending her voice to the most compelling issue of our time through this blog, video blog series The Red, White, and Green Scene, and articles for several national publications. She also serves as frequent contributor to the Meatless Monday campaign and Wend Magazine.

Jennifer has been featured by numerous media outlets and organizations, including MSNBC, USA Today, Animal Planet, Healthy Child Healthy World, and WebMD. She has also served as a consultant to CNN and the Sundance Channel.

She credits her consuming passion for the environment and health to her mom, who used to send a 5-year-old Jenny off to school with organic tomato, mozzarella, and arugula (the original red, white, and green!) sandwiches on home-baked nine-grain bread.

A New York native, Jennifer is now based in Los Angeles.
