Thanks, Rich! I use my bike for errands here in LA, because a lot of times it's a lot faster than dealing with car traffic and finding a parking space. What's great about the Flying Pigeon bikes featured in the video is that they're designed for that very purpose; they all come with racks and chain guards so you can just hop on in whatever you're wearing. They're also affordable -- the bike featured on the Flying Pigeon LA site right now is $199. (Not as affordable as the hand-me-down mountain bike my cousins were kind enough to give me that I've since retrofitted for errands around town, though.)

Hi Jennifer, What a great post! I use my Bike regularly to go to the store run errands and occasionally ride just for the heck of it. The kids really like it too! I wish more people would wake up to this green way of transportation. I only live a mile and a half from the store so why use the fuel and pollute the air when all I have to get is a loaf of bread and some coffee, etc. I pedal and feel better all around. P.S. I still haven’t figured out how to simulate the altitude and temp of the Andes so I can grow my own coffee!!
